This policy covers the Mix Forge company website and enquiries sent to us. Mix Forge Pty Ltd (Mix Forge) is the company responsible for personal information we receive through this website and its enquiries. We are a software consultancy based in South Africa. Apps and services we build for clients have their own privacy arrangements. This website policy does not describe the information collected inside those products.

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if included, and the message and attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond, discuss potential work or help with a support request.

Providing this information is voluntary. Without enough detail or a way to reply, we may not be able to help. Please avoid sending passwords, sign-in codes or sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry.

We use an email service provider to receive, store and respond to messages. We currently retain email correspondence without a fixed deletion schedule. You can contact us to request deletion of your personal information; we will assess the request, including whether any records need to be retained for legal obligations or ongoing work.

Our hosting provider processes technical information, including your IP address, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

The website loads its typefaces from an external font provider. Your browser contacts that provider to request the font files, which involves sending your IP address and request information.

These providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside South Africa. You can contact us for more information about the providers involved.

This website does not currently include analytics or advertising trackers.

When you choose a light or dark theme, the website saves that choice in your browser's local storage under mf-theme. It stays on your device until you clear the site's stored data or return the theme to the system setting. This preference is not sent to us.

The animated background and its mouse response run on your device. Pointer movements are not recorded or sent to us.

You can ask what personal information we hold about you and request correction or deletion. You can also object to processing, or withdraw consent where processing depends on it. These rights are subject to the conditions in applicable law, including South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act.

You can raise a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator.

We will update this policy when the way this website handles information changes.
